Fireworks Safety

FACT: Fireworks related injuries usually involve hands, fingers, eyes or head.

  • Only adults should handle fireworks.
  • A bucket or other container of water should be readily accessible when using fireworks.
  • Never throw fireworks at another person.
  • Never try to re-light fireworks that malfunction.
  • Read fireworks labels and carefully follow directions.
  • Teach children to “Stop, drop and roll” if their clothes catch on fire.
