This session focuses on attachment and how parents and caregivers can form a secure bond with their child. A lack of a parent-child bond is one precursor to abuse and neglect. Attachment or bonding is an infant’s emotional connection with a primary caregiver. Lack of attachment can lead to insecurity early in life and significant relationship challenges as an adult.
Participants will learn about four different attachment styles, their effects on children into adulthood, and how to help parents and caregivers form a secure attachment with their child.
Deadline to register is November 5.
