Children’s Trust Selects Scott and Company, LCC to Perform Annual Audit

Children’s Trust has selected Scott and Company, LLC to perform its annual audit.

Children’s Trust is a quasi-state agency established by the state legislature more than 40 years ago to fund innovative child abuse prevention programs across the state. With a budget exceeding $20 million, conducting an audit is essential to ensure transparency and accountability. It works to support our fiduciary duty by confirming that funds are used properly and in line with our mission.

Chief Financial Officer Mark Cameron states, “Maintaining our trust and credibility with our funders and donors is crucial to ensuring the effectiveness of the prevention investments we oversee. Our audit offers objective assurances on the accuracy of our financial statements, helps identify risks, strengthens internal controls, and protects the organization’s assets and reputation.”

Children’s Trust selected Scott and Company after a thorough request for proposal process and interviews. The audit will begin on September 30, the close of our fiscal year.

Board chair Beverly Hamilton adds, “Transparency and trust are core values of our organization, and the audit is essential to living those values.”  Children’s Trust consistently has a clean audit with no material findings.
