Children’s Trust announces the addition of these new staff members

Montana Cain

J. Montana Cain

J. Montana Cain, Ph.D., joins the research and evaluation team as a senior evaluator. She implements, coordinates, and monitors evaluation activities for the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and the Strengthening Families Program (SFP), trainings, parent partnerships, and coalitions. She also partners with staff on quality improvement initiatives and manages the development of our web-based evaluation system. She earned her doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in educational psychology, measurement, and evaluation.


Colby Kipp

Colby Kipp

Colby Kipp, a doctoral student at the University of South Carolina in clinical-community psychology, is a graduate assistant who provides support to the Annie E. Casey Foundation KIDS COUNT project, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Initiative, and state data team. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brigham Young University, Colby is interested in health and well-being outcomes from underserved communities.


Maggie Lynn

Maggie Lynn

Maggie Lynn is a marketing specialist responsible for developing communications strategy for the Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) South Carolina communications work, including participant outreach and community-level marketing. She also partners with staff on other communications and fundraising projects. With a master’s degree in social work from the University of New England, she has previously worked with nonprofits in Georgia, Ohio, Italy, and Germany.


Dana Powell

Dana Powell

Dana Powell moves into her role as the parent and community engagement coordinator. She establishes parent advisory councils, empowers parent members to be advocates for all parents in their community by engaging in community coalitions, and ensures parents have the tools and resources they need to guarantee protective factors are in place both for them and their children. Prior to joining Children’s Trust, she worked with the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy for nearly 10 years.

Sarah Ross

Sarah Ross provides overall agency support as the executive assistant for the leadership team, staff members and the board of directors by planning, organizing and managing office operations while maintaining an effective and efficient environment. She brings extensive knowledge and experience to the areas of administration, finance and development. With an associate degree in business from Midlands Technical College, she previously worked for a mental health nonprofit.

Aditi Srivastav Bussells was promoted to research and community impact manager.

Amy Moseley transitioned to community coalitions manager.

Cathy Ramage was promoted to senior coordinator for home visiting.

Michael Shirley was promoted to communications manager.

Sarah Slazyk was promoted to Triple P support specialist.

Abby Wilson was promoted to senior manager of community implementation.
