In the June newsletter, Children’s Trust board of directors and staff leadership released a statement voicing our organization’s concern for Black children across the state due to the structural and systemic racism that deprives them of resources and opportunity based on their skin color. We hope to keep working for meaningful change. Also in the newsletter, highlights include the annual KIDS COUNT rankings on child well-being that place South Carolina No. 41 nationally, the work still being done by Children’s Trust and our statewide partners to deliver programs for children and families in spite of the coronavirus outbreak, and the announcement of a generous donation by one of our dedicated sponsors, Molina Healthcare.
