Over the last few weeks, the S.C. legislature met to finalize their redistricting plans. In the Senate, Sen. Harvey Peeler (R-Cherokee) stepped down as the Senate President to lead the Senate Finance Committee after Sen. Hugh Leatherman (R-Florence) passed away last month.

The House debated and passed H. 3126, a bill to restrict public employer vaccination mandates. The bill will now go to the Senate.

When the legislature convenes in January, it will be the second year of a two-year session. All legislation remains where it was when lawmakers adjourned in May of this year.
