The Building Hope for Children Conference hosted by Children’s Trust in September in Greenville was a huge success. This gathering of child-serving professionals, advocates, and national, state and community leaders who are dedicated to securing better futures for our children featured six keynote addresses and 34 workshops providing important information for the 400 attendees. With a theme of “Resilient Families and Thriving Communities,” the biennial prevention conference offered two full days of learning and sharing experiences.
The October newsletter also features stories that detail the latest updates from the board of directors, which include an honor for a longtime member, a new slate of officers, and the newest member. We also have the latest child poverty report from KIDS COUNT as well as a good reason to cheer for the Gamecocks in football this season.
