Eric Bellamy, Children’s Trust director of program integration, was named to the board of directors for the Association of State and Tribal Home Visiting Initiatives (ASTHVI) for a two-year term beginning in 2020.
Bellamy, who oversees operation of the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program and the Strengthening Families Program (SFP), has worked with Children’s Trust since 2010.
He joins Tiffany Kostelec of Michigan, Kaci Gaub-Bruno of Montana, and Juan Delara of Oklahoma as new additions to the ASTHVI board. ASTHVI is member-driven and dedicated to supporting members in the effective implementation and improvement of home visiting programs at the state, territory and Tribal level. The evidence-based approaches of these programs, focused on pregnant women and families with children birth-through-5, help support families in their most important job of raising children to lead healthy and productive lives.
Before joining Children’s Trust, Bellamy worked for several years in human services, youth development, and health education. With a passion for children and adolescent health services, he has worked on such initiatives as adolescent pregnancy prevention and infrastructure building for children’s mental health and substance abuse services.
A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in health promotion from Coastal Carolina University.
