The Joint Citizens and Legislative Committee on Children met last week to hear from organizations and discuss pending legislation. Liyun Zhang, Ph.D., a research scientist from the Children’s Law Center, discussed the 2021 Data Reference book, which looks at data on issues that affect the well-being of children. Also in this week’s Policy Post are updates on the Biden administration’s outline for the fiscal year 2022 federal budget proposal as well as bills to watch in the S.C. Legislature.
