Leading National and State Experts Headline State’s Largest Two-Day Conference Dedicated to Keeping Children Safe. Columbia, S.C. – As South Carolina’s leader in the prevention of child abuse, neglect and injuries, Children’s Trust will host its largest Prevention Conference Oct. 2-3 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
Approximately 800 attendees are expected for the biennial two-day event, which brings together social workers, home visitors, counselors, program administrators and other child-serving professionals. With a theme of “Embracing Prevention, Empowering Communities,” the conference will emphasize the role everyone plays in keeping children safe. It will feature more than 40 sessions over seven learning tracks and cover a variety of interests and disciplines.
