Children’s Trust claimed a pair of honors May 3 at the annual Mercury Awards event hosted by the South Carolina chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
In the category of Brand and Reputation Management, Children’s Trust received an award of excellence for its brand guide. In the Public Affairs category, the organization won an award of merit for its Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) reauthorization campaign.
Judges cited research that drove strategy and tactics in developing the brand guide, something that makes it more easily used. Judges pointed to the positive outcomes and success stories – along with a strategy of high tech and high touch – that helped propel Congressional reauthorization of home visiting programs.
The awards, which recognize the work of public relations professionals across the state, were held in Columbia.
