The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is a two-generation program that works with parents and their children ages 6-11. Recently, we had the opportunity to hear from a few of the fathers involved in the program. The 14-session program helps parents and caregivers improve parenting skills; develop positive discipline practices; stay resilient in tough times; and reduce conflict. And it assists children with social skills, relationships and school performance. Children’s Trust supports the delivery of SFP across the state, including at Growing Home Southeast in York County, South Carolina.
