Event information

Protective factors serve as buffers that help parents find resources, identify supports and develop coping strategies so they can parent more effectively, even under stress. The Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework addresses how to build resilience and empower action in your community to prevent child abuse and neglect.

This session is part five of our Promoting Protective Factors training. Participants will learn about social and emotional competence of children as a protective factor through fostering family interactions that help children develop the ability to communicate clearly, recognize and manage emotions, and establish and maintain relationships.
