This event is closed to the public. This training is open to participants who will implement the Strengthening Families Program (SFP) through funded SFP providers.

Attendance is required by new and veteran SFP staff to learn the new 7-17 curriculum. Participants must attend both days in full. 

Strengthening Families Program (SFP) Family Coaches training will occur on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

SFP Family Coaches Training is a two-day comprehensive training aimed at equipping participants with the essential skills and knowledge required for effective facilitation and implementation of the Strengthening Families Program. This training offers an in-depth history and overview of SFP as an evidence-based practice, along with a detailed overview of the logistics and components crucial for success. Led by seasoned experts from the Strengthening Families Program Foundation, this training provides a comprehensive overview of the three SFP skills training curriculums and their integration. Participants will be guided through the nuances of group facilitation and gain valuable insights into managing the dynamics of working with families. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion, documenting their readiness to lead and facilitate SFP sessions.
