On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Committee met and gave favorable report to S.612, and on Thursday the bill passed the House of Representatives unanimously. The bill will now head to the Governor’s desk for signature.
The bill would give DSS two business days to investigate reports. Currently, DSS has one business day. This bill will allow DSS to create a better-tiered investigation system, which would allow more serious cases to be addressed quickly.
