On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Committee gave favorable report to H.4561, a bill which would allow candidates for public office to use campaign funds to pay for caregivers for their dependents or immediate family members for campaign or political purposes. For example, under this bill, someone running for office could use their campaign funds to pay for child care for their children during campaign events. 

On Wednesday, the Special Joint Committee to Study Childcare met and heard from representatives from the business community. The Senate Finance Health & Human Services Subcommittee met and heard the FY 2024-2025 budget request from the Department of Health and Human Services. 

On Thursday, the House Ways and Means Committee gave an overview of the FY 2024-2025 House budget.
