Paul Kohleim Receives Yezbak Award

Board member Paul Kohlheim was recently presented the 2025 Yezbak Award by former Board Chair Beverly Hamilton for his exemplary service to the organization.

The award, named for former Board Chair David Yezbak, highlights Kohlheim’s commitment to preventing child abuse and neglect in South Carolina. 

“Paul’s is a valuable strategic thinker and very effective leader,” said Hamilton. “In leading the Governance Committee, Paul consistently asks the critical questions, encourages others to participate fully, and skillfully manages varying perspectives to reach consensus. He has ensured that the board’s work is effective and inclusive, and we are so thankful for Paul’s contributions.” 

Past honorees include Jane Pulling (2018), Elizabeth Gressette (2019), Tiffany Santagati (2020), Steven Leicht (2021), Philip Vann (2023) and Erin Pate (2022 and 2024).  

Kohlheim is a retired management consulting executive with the Huron Consulting Group. He has significant experience with non-profit organizations, having held various board positions over the years. He served as board chair of Coastal Community Foundation, Empower Charleston (previously Social Ventures Partners Charleston) and One80 Place. 

Gov. Henry McMaster appointed Kohlheim to the Board to represent the 1st Congressional District.
