Unlock the Power of Resilience in Your Community: Become a Trainer in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Building Resilience

Passionate about creating healthier, more resilient communities?

Trainer presents during an ACE master training session.

Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to understand adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and foster resilience by becoming a certified trainer. Our Training-of-Trainers (ToT) program empowers you to lead others in understanding the impact of childhood experiences while building on community strengths with proven prevention strategies.

Children’s Trust has directed the S.C. Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) Initiative since 2015 and believes widespread education and understanding is critical to the prevention of child maltreatment and trauma. Having trained hundreds of individuals to understand ACEs, this training builds knowledge and gives participants actionable next steps. Ultimately, we want communities to prioritize prevention and improve outcomes for children and families.

Why This Training Matters

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) can have profound effects on individuals and communities, contributing to long-term challenges such as poor health, difficulty in relationships, and even economic hardship. But there is hope. When communities are educated and support families, the impact of these experiences can be significantly reduced—and resilience can thrive.

By becoming a trainer, you will:

  • Build understanding. Help individuals, families, and organizations address the root causes of trauma and unlock the potential for resilience and recovery.
  • Empower others. Equip professionals, educators, and community leaders with tools and strategies to better support those affected by ACEs.
  • Foster healthier communities. Identify and embrace small yet significant changes that can create healthy environments and thriving families.

Rebecca Williams

“…I am impressed by the changes that have been made to introduce ACEs to training attendees, but most importantly the focus of the training on building resilience among those who have experienced ACEs through Positive Childhood Experiences. This proactive approach to supporting children …who will eventually become adults will be incredibly important as we move forward in our work to support families and the communities in which they live.”
