The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is an evidence-based, family-strengthening prevention program, but simply put, it is a special—and often life-changing—opportunity for families to grow together.
The 14-session program is geared toward families with children ages 6 to 11. It helps parents and caregivers improve parenting skills; develop positive discipline practices; stay resilient in tough times; and reduce conflict. And it assists children with social skills, relationships and school performance.
Children’s Trust supports the delivery of SFP across the state. One of our funded partners, Westview Behavioral Health Services in Newberry, recently celebrated 10 families who completed the program.
