The February edition of the Children’s Trust newsletter leads with Greenville First Steps, the local activating organization for Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) in Greenville County, holding its first round of pre-accreditation and accreditation for Triple P practitioners. There were 17 practitioners from five Greenville organizations – Greenville County School District, Upstate Fatherhood Coalition, Just Say Something, Julie Valentine Center, and Share Head Start – at this first cohort of training.
The newsletter also includes updates on Child Abuse Prevention Month preparations for April, Kappa Delta’s recent large donation to Children’s Trust, getting all of South Carolina’s kids counted in the U.S. Census, the National Home Visiting Summit, National Parent Leadership Month, our new videos and stories in our website’s newsroom, and an upcoming training on adverse childhood experiences.
