Fiscal Year 2020 Annual Report cover

“We want every child in South Carolina to grow up happy and healthy, safe and secure, loved and nurtured. This single-mindedness drives the work of Children’s Trust. Adverse childhood experiences can last into adulthood and result in long-term negative health and social outcomes. They prove that childhoods really do last a lifetime. The good news is that we know what needs to be done to help children thrive. With amazing partners across this state, we help families build resilience, connect them with community resources, and create a better understanding of child development.”

The report chronicles the strategic path forward in our work to prevent child abuse and neglect, which includes supporting and delivering prevention programs, building coalitions, providing resources, and leading prevention training. The booklet highlights our partnerships that found the ability to skillfully adapt through the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to deliver home visiting program models, the Strengthening Families Program, and Triple P (Positive Parenting Program).

It also details our impact and outcomes through the use of data, our prevention network of partners statewide, our revenues and expenses, and our donors.
