Members of the Children’s Trust board of directors are sharing their thanks with the organization’s donors in the month of November. The annual Thank-A-Thon event features board members calling those who have donated to child abuse prevention efforts over the past year.

“Sharing gratitude is a joy – especially when giving a personal shoutout to those who make Children’s Trust mission a reality,” said board member Cheryl Holland, chair of the development committee. “Selfishly, living in gratitude is also known to improve overall well-being and life satisfaction – a win for all.”

Children’s Trust appreciates the donors who have chosen to support South Carolina’s children and families, as the organization continues to implement evidence-based programs that promote home visiting, family strengthening, and positive parenting. Working with local and statewide agencies, grantees, and partners to provide support to communities across the state, Children’s Trust also serves as the South Carolina affiliate for Prevent Child Abuse America and the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s KIDS COUNT project.

The month ends Nov. 30 on Giving Tuesday, the global day of philanthropy driven by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States, it starts the charitable year-end giving season by encouraging the donation of time and resources to address important issues in local communities. You can help build strong families and prevent child abuse and neglect in South Carolina by supporting Children’s Trust on #GivingTuesday with a contribution.
