Sue Williams, Children’s Trust CEO, discusses the importance of Child Abuse Prevention Month during April. Our organization leads the annual effort to bring together family-serving organizations, state agencies, businesses, communities, schools, neighborhoods and faith-based groups to raise awareness and and show how all of us can be a powerful force for the children and families in South Carolina. Children’s Trust, the S.C. affiliate for Prevent Child Abuse America, supports our prevention partners across the state and their advocacy efforts with unified messaging, shared learning and access to prevention resources and materials. It’s our goal to ensure there are comprehensive, community-based efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect all year-round in South Carolina.
