Children’s Trust’s statewide parent advisory council will have its first meeting on Tuesday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The council will provide input to Children’s Trust on our prevention programs and services. They will also provide guidance to other community and statewide initiatives building child and family well-being. This work is modeled after national initiatives of the Children’s Trust Fund Alliance and was developed in consultation with an implementation advisory committee of parents.
The council will meet remotely monthly, with two in-person meetings. Participants can expect to form relationships with peer leaders and learn about prevention, community systems, and what makes an effective advocate.
