Child Abuse Prevention Month in South Carolina

Children thrive when adults invest in their care and well-being and when communities wrap families in love and support. South Carolina children need us, and they need you.

Volunteer at an after-school program. Be a youth mentor. Cook dinner for a family in your neighborhood. Volunteer your time and talents to a local community organization. Advocate for family-friendly policies in your workplace. Be a voice for kids at the statehouse. Make a donation. This how you can be a champion for children.

No matter what you do, you have the power to make a difference. And, when we all do our part, we help parents be resilient in tough times, break generational cycles of abuse and ensure safety and stability for children at home.

If your organization is leading CAP Month in your community, Children’s Trust has established a fund to support your work. Community Leadership Grants up to $1500 are available to help build awareness and engagement in your community to build stronger families and give children the opportunity to grow up safe, healthy and strong.

We encourage interested organizations to engage with other stakeholders in your community including nonprofits, government agencies, community leaders and more to coordinate and plan local CAP Month activities. We are looking for collaboration and geographic diversity across the state.
