Research and Evaluation

We aim to understand what works, measure impact, improve programs and ensure that resources are used effectively to support children and families.

By studying patterns, identifying risk factors and analyzing protective strategies, we understand what children and families need to thrive. This knowledge helps shape programs, policies and practices that address the root causes of abuse and create safer, healthier communities.

We also measure program outcomes to ensure that the approaches we use are effective and have a meaningful impact. We can see what’s working, what isn’t and where improvements are needed. This process fosters accountability, enhances services, and ensures that resources are utilized in ways that genuinely support children and families.

Ultimately, research and evaluation empower organizations and communities to make informed decisions and continually adapt. They provide the foundation for innovation, guiding us toward strategies that prevent harm before it happens and help every child grow up safe, supported and nurtured.

Parents and Child Care Providers: In This Together

Through a partnership with the South Carolina Department of Social Services, Children’s Trust commissioned SRS Group LLC to conduct a multi-phase research initiative studying communication between South Carolina parents and child care providers.
